Woodcreek School's boarding experience is more than just providing a place to sleep and study. It is because of this that we have designed our boarding program to provide students with a unique opportunity to develop essential life skills that will prepare them for success in college, career, and beyond.
Through our boarding program, students can develop independence, responsibility and self-discipline. Living away from home requires students to learn how to manage their time, prioritise their duties and make decisions for themselves. Our experienced residential mentors are always at hand to provide guidance and support that can help students develop these skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
In addition, our boarding program provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, teamwork and cultural competence. Our Boarding houses are intentionally designed to bring together students from diverse backgrounds and cultures, encouraging them to learn from each other and develop a broader perspective of the world.

The rooms are designed to provide a comfortable and private space for students to study, rest, and relax.
Our Boarding houses are designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive home away from home for our students. We have separate boarding houses for our boys and girls.
Each boarding house is staffed by a team of experienced residential mentors and staff members responsible for our Boarding students' care and supervision. In addition to their academic responsibilities, the residential mentors provide guidance and support for our students, promoting their personal and social development and ensuring their well-being.
The Boarding houses have all the necessary facilities to make our students comfortable and enjoyable. Each boarding house has designated common rooms, gaming rooms, study rooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, and laundromats. The rooms are designed to provide a comfortable and private space for students to study, rest, and relax.
Various activities and events are organised within the Boarding houses, including inter-dormitory competitions, social events, and cultural programs. This helps our students build strong bonds and friendships with their peers.
The Woodcreek School campus in Kiambu County (Approximately 30 Minutes drive from Nairobi CBD and 40 Minutes drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) is beautiful and tranquil, surrounded by natural beauty and lush greenery. The campus is spread over 30 acres and includes modern facilities and state-of-the-art resources that support academic excellence and student development.
Our campus is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment that encourages learning and personal growth. We have a range of facilities designed to support academic, athletic, and artistic pursuits, including classrooms, laboratories, music rooms and a library. We also have a range of sports facilities, including playing fields, a gymnasium, and a swimming pool.
In addition to our campus facilities, the local community is also an integral part of the Woodcreek School experience. The surrounding area has diverse cultural and recreational opportunities, including: museums, art galleries, theatres, shopping malls, hospitals, churches and parks. In addition, our students can engage with the local community through service projects, internships, and other activities that promote civic engagement and social responsibility.

Weekends are essential for our Boarding students to rest, recharge, and enjoy themselves. We have a range of activities and events planned for our students on weekends, including on-campus and off-campus options.
We understand that being away from home and adapting to a new environment can be challenging, so we have a range of measures in place to support the well-being of our boarding students.
Our dedicated health and wellness centre on campus provides a range of services to our boarding students. Our school nurse is available during regular business hours to provide primary medical care.
The Boarding life at Woodcreek School is structured, relaxed, consistent, and friendly. We offer flexible boarding options for students, with separate Boarding houses for High School and Senior School (Year 7 - Year 13) girls and boys. Each boarding house is managed by a Head of Boys or Girls Boarding and resident boarding house mentors dedicated to ensuring our students' safety and well-being. Our Boarding houses have state-of-the-art facilities, including separate living and study areas, designated common rooms, gaming rooms, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, and laundromat facilities.
Full-time boarding students live on campus seven days a week and participate in all aspects of campus life. Weekly boarding students live on campus Monday through Friday and return home on weekends. Weekly Boarding is an excellent option for students who want to experience boarding life without being away from home for an extended period.

In addition, we offer pastoral care, dining service, school transport, school nurse, counselling service, and housekeeping services to ensure the safety and well-being of every individual student.

We encourage our students to participate in inter-dormitory activities such as meals, games, and other activities that the boarding staff members organise.

Each boarding house is managed by a Head of Boys or Girls Boarding, along with resident boarding house mentors who live in the boarding house and can provide support and guidance to our students 24/7.
Additionally, we have a team of academic and pastoral staff who work closely with our Boarding students to ensure they thrive academically and socially.
Boarding students can access various extracurricular activities, including sports, music, drama, and community service projects. We also organise various social activities and events for our boarding community, such as movie nights, game nights, and weekend outings.
In addition, our students have access to on-campus facilities such as sports fields, swimming pool, and gymnasium, as well as off-campus facilities like museums, galleries, parks, theatres, recreational parks, shopping malls, churches and theatres.
We recognise the importance of open communication between parents and boarding staff and have several channels to facilitate this communication. Parents can contact the Head of Boys or Girls Boarding directly with any questions or concerns they may have, and they can also stay in touch with their child's academic progress and school activities through our online portals.
Additionally, we hold regular parent-teacher conferences and offer opportunities for parents to visit the campus and meet with their child's teachers and boarding staff.
